Grace Bay Beach is one of the nicest beaches we’ve been to. We stayed at Windsong by the reef. Victor is a fish and I make an effort to book places where snorkeling is close by. During this trip I learned that snorkeling with an ill fitting mask is nature’s neti pot. Sea water would pour out from his nose hours after. It was disgusting every time he tilted his head. The arts are very important to me. I believe they are essential to our soul.
I grew up walking the art galleries of Soho. My parents took us to Broadway and Off Broadway shows and museums. I remember seeing Little Shop of Horrors at the theater where Stomp is playing today. I can still hear ‘Feed me Seymore…’
The food is great, people are friendly, island is safe, easy to use public transportation. What more can we ask for? We’ve been to Aruba 6 times in 7 years. That tells you what we think about Aruba.
Rugged and wild Curacao. Finally crossed off my ‘must see’ list that started when I read an atlas my mom gave me as a child. Curacao was worth the 24 year wait.
Buenos Aires is like a Spanish NY to us. La Boca is our Little Italy, San Telmo is like our LES, Recoleta our 5th Ave, Palermo SoHo our SoHo, Puerto Madero our DUMBO. We didn’t expect to it to feel like home except everyone spoke Spanish and instead of break dancers in the street – you have tango. And a lot of stuff was made in China just like the states. One thing they have that we don’t – gelato from Chocolates Rapa Nui – lemon pie and triple tentacion is to die for.
